About the role

As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will provide quality assurance support for all company products and processes to ensure that the highest standards for quality are maintained. You will monitor processes, develop improvements, and interface with functional departments to achieve customer satisfaction and resolve issues through cooperative methods.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, evaluate, and present information concerning factors such as business situations, production capabilities, remanufacturing problems, statistical trends, and proposed process changes.
  • Review factors in light of quality of product and reliability of quality during production.
  • Conduct internal audits on departments and business units to ensure compliance with company instructions and policies.
  • Assist external auditors from various quality associations.
  • Research, compile, and review company procedures.
  • Monitor, review, and conduct sub-contractor audits in liaison with supplier development.
  • Collect and analyze quality data for the purpose of identifying trends with respect to non-conformance documents.
  • Report necessary information and offer solutions to production, materials, and the company as a whole to correct specification or process problems.
  • Monitor warranty procedures including investigation, root-cause, corrective action, and follow-up to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Encourage and facilitate continuous improvement activities in the business units.
  • Observe all applicable safety requirements and report immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
  • Serve as liaison for StandardAero and foreign authorities.
  • Prepare foreign authorization applications and documents for initial and renewal of approvals.
  • Responsible for completion and responses to non-conformities identified during external audits.
  • Prepare internal communications and surveillance audits of departments in preparation for external audits.
  • Provide internal support for completion and submittal of vendor survey requests.
  • Review current authorizations for expiration of approvals.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by the Quality Director/Quality Manager.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • College diploma in mechanical engineering technology or equivalent.
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision-making, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of ISO 9000 quality system requirements.
  • Thorough knowledge of internal audit policies and procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of quality improvement tools and techniques.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
  • Working knowledge of production management computer systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of company instructions, company processes, quality, and original equipment manufacturer manuals.
  • Thorough knowledge of Transport Canada airworthiness certification requirements and other regulatory bodies.
