Responsibilities

  • Supports the continuous flow of quality test cell activities by testing and inspecting products.
  • Ensures accurate testing, proper component verification, and thorough completion of quality documentation in accordance with the Quality Management System.
  • Maintains compliance with all procedures and ongoing training requirements.
  • May review and disposition nonconforming material.

Qualifications

  • No previous connector or manufacturing experience required.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to communicate with peers, superiors.
  • Product/Process knowledge.
  • Ability to fluctuate schedule as deemed necessary by management or as the work load requires.
  • Strong work ethics including, but not limited to, attendance and punctuality.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

Technical and/or Managerial Job Competencies

  • Ability to understand simple drawings, CAPIs and work instructions (as needed).
  • Basic PC experience.
  • Math skills are a plus.
  • Ability for personnel performing acceptance testing of product to meet Near and Color Vision Requirements.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Continuous flow of the quality test cell activities.
  • Ensure the quality standards are met per PEI-Genesis requirements.
  • Ensure that customer requirements have been met through validation and testing of the product specific requirements, as well as confirmation of correct and adequate components.
  • Awareness and basic understanding of BOM and Pick Suggestion “special” customer requirements.
  • Complete all quality department documentation and work instructions per the Quality Management System requirements.
  • May be responsible for the review and disposition of identified non-conforming material; based on use of defined workmanship standards, guidelines and direction provided from the Manufacturers, or direction provided by members of Management (based on training level).
  • Ensure that all administrative procedures/work instructions are followed completely.
  • Ensure that your quality department training is up to date. Recognize the need and request additional and/or continuous training as necessary.

Physical Demands

  • Manual lifting up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 70 lbs. on occasion (with assistance).
  • Repetitive detailed work with hands for 8+ hours of the day.
  • Ability to sit or stand for up to 8+ hours.
  • Ability to reach overhead with or without the aid of a ladder or step stool.
  • Ability to Grip/Grasp at least 8 hours of the day.
