Responsibilities
- Supports the continuous flow of quality test cell activities by testing and inspecting products.
- Ensures accurate testing, proper component verification, and thorough completion of quality documentation in accordance with the Quality Management System.
- Maintains compliance with all procedures and ongoing training requirements.
- May review and disposition nonconforming material.
Qualifications
- No previous connector or manufacturing experience required.
- Strong communication skills; ability to communicate with peers, superiors.
- Product/Process knowledge.
- Ability to fluctuate schedule as deemed necessary by management or as the work load requires.
- Strong work ethics including, but not limited to, attendance and punctuality.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Technical and/or Managerial Job Competencies
- Ability to understand simple drawings, CAPIs and work instructions (as needed).
- Basic PC experience.
- Math skills are a plus.
- Ability for personnel performing acceptance testing of product to meet Near and Color Vision Requirements.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
- Continuous flow of the quality test cell activities.
- Ensure the quality standards are met per PEI-Genesis requirements.
- Ensure that customer requirements have been met through validation and testing of the product specific requirements, as well as confirmation of correct and adequate components.
- Awareness and basic understanding of BOM and Pick Suggestion “special” customer requirements.
- Complete all quality department documentation and work instructions per the Quality Management System requirements.
- May be responsible for the review and disposition of identified non-conforming material; based on use of defined workmanship standards, guidelines and direction provided from the Manufacturers, or direction provided by members of Management (based on training level).
- Ensure that all administrative procedures/work instructions are followed completely.
- Ensure that your quality department training is up to date. Recognize the need and request additional and/or continuous training as necessary.
Physical Demands
- Manual lifting up to 35 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 70 lbs. on occasion (with assistance).
- Repetitive detailed work with hands for 8+ hours of the day.
- Ability to sit or stand for up to 8+ hours.
- Ability to reach overhead with or without the aid of a ladder or step stool.
- Ability to Grip/Grasp at least 8 hours of the day.
