What You'll Do

• Assist with incident reporting and investigations
• Work closely with departmental leadership to ensure safety training and scheduling
• Provide safety committee meeting minutes and co-chair meetings
• Perform monthly safety inspections and gather inspections from others
• Lead monthly procedure reviews
• Lead new staff through orientation of health, safety, and management systems
• Auxiliary with external audits and internal audits
• Administer Action Requests
• Work with external agencies regarding safety, training, or onsite visits
• Manage contractor vetting documentation and retention
• Lead annual NAOSH celebrations
• Coordinate evacuation drills
• Review and upload Safety Data Sheets to our database
• Seek out opportunities for improvement

Who You Are

• Effective data entry skills
• Prior experience with maintaining databases
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office software, Adobe Acrobat, and safety-related software
• Ability to work respectfully with management and staff
• Familiarity with MIOSHA requirements
• Prior experience managing injury claims (ideal)

What You'll Bring

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior working knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and SA 8000 (asset)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office
