Quality and Records Clerk
About the role
PJ Helicopters is seeking a Quality and Records Clerk. Under moderate supervision, this position assists the Quality & Records Department with all initiatives and tasks to retain compliance regarding records and documentation relating to Repair Station and FAA regulations. It ensures that all aircraft operated by PJH are in compliance with all applicable Federal Regulations and airworthiness rules.
Responsibilities
- Maintain current revisions of technical data used to repair and maintain helicopters.
- Regularly review maintenance tracking software for consistency, including accuracy and currency of task cards hyperlinks, and update as necessary.
- Enter data into multiple company spreadsheets and databases as required.
- Create, process, close, and finalize work orders within specialized software, including part/component review, typing maintenance logbook entries, and digitizing hardcopy records.
- Properly complete and file assorted FAA forms as needed.
- Scan hardcopy aircraft and component records and upload documents to company server and maintenance tracking software.
- Communicate with pilots and mechanics when company records or information requires action.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years of related experience.
- High attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Strong computer, MS Office, and Adobe Acrobat skills.
- Ability to take direction and complete assigned tasks.
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Experience doing data entry work or managing records in a similar environment (preferred).
- Additional relevant vocational coursework (preferred).
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Work is performed in a combination of office and shop environments and may be exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to perform continued periods of work at a computer and use a computer screen and be able to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds of weight throughout the assigned workday.
Schedule
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Occasional overtime may be required.
