Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is an 83-bed acute care hospital offering services such as Cardiology, Emergency Services and a Level IV Trauma Designated ER, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Gastroenterology, Diagnostic Services and more.
Responsibilities
- Complete identified Compliance / Quality / Risk audits in a timely manner and communicating results to Director of Quality and/or Director of Compliance & Risk.
- Assist in maintaining active complaint log and providing complaints to department leaders for follow up.
- Abstracting Sepsis charts according to CMS guidelines and provide appropriate feedback to staff to improve patient care.
- This position reports to the Quality Director with indirect reporting to Director of Compliance / Risk.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Licensed Registered Nurse required
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role, and prior to providing direct patient care, or ARC (American Red Cross) is required upon hire
- Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position
- Must have experience with computer and preferred EMR data abstraction skills
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Completion of Bachelors of Science in Nursing
- Experience with Microsoft word, general data entry, Xcel, PowerPoint
- Experience with clinical best practices
