RN Quality Analyst/Coordinator
About the role
The Quality Analyst/Coordinator will abstract, track, and trend data on the Quality Indicators, Core Measures, Peer Review, and FPPE/OPPE. They will audit electronic Clinical Quality Measures (eCQM) prior to submission to regulatory bodies. This individual will review, abstract, and audit key patient clinical outcomes from medical records in accordance with the appropriate Specifications Manual. The Quality Coordinator will assist in data analysis and consult and support performance improvement activities, as assigned. They will support the Women’s Center Designation by providing trending analysis and case detail on a routine basis. Monitors quality standards as determined by the Performance Improvement Plan and Medical Staff Quality Indicators.
Responsibilities
- Abstract, track, and trend data on Quality Indicators, Core Measures, Peer Review, and FPPE/OPPE
- Audit electronic Clinical Quality Measures (eCQM) prior to submission to regulatory bodies
- Review, abstract, and audit key patient clinical outcomes from medical records in accordance with the appropriate Specifications Manual
- Assist in data analysis and consult and support performance improvement activities, as assigned
- Support the Women’s Center Designation by providing trending analysis and case detail on a routine basis
- Maintain quality standards as determined by the Performance Improvement Plan and Medical Staff Quality Indicators
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Previous experience in an acute care hospital is preferred
- Current Texas RN license required
- Excellent comprehension of medical terminology, disease processes, familiarity with the medical record, and research ability
- Ability to work independently; working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required; willingness to learn computer applications necessary for work functions; ability to adapt to changing situations and various personalities with a positive attitude
- The ability to abstract data with 90% accuracy is required
- Quality background with understanding of accreditation requirements and performance improvement concepts preferred
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
