Quality Analyst
This position is based at our Sugar Land Chemical Plant in Sugar Land, TX. If selected, your employment will begin with ChampionX and transition to SLB as part of the planned integration.

Responsibilities
- Promptly perform, report, and record all Quality Control procedures and test results in a precise and accurate manner
- Apply Good Laboratory Practices to accurately record and file all raw test data, including chromatograms, graphs, spectra, and test results
- Communicate results and dispositions to Production and QA Supervisor as required
- Calculate and recommend batch adjustments to Production
- Report promptly all problems regarding procedures, equipment, products, raw materials, or specifications to the QA Supervisor or designate, as well as other QC Chemists
- Maintain inventory status of reagents and equipment to keep the lab at full operational capacity
- Prepare lab standard test reagents and perform standardization on reagents and calibration of equipment on a regular basis; keep detailed records and maintain control and/or trend charts
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment and ensure smooth operation of the QA Laboratory through communication, planning, and preparation in support of other shifts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field, or relevant work experience
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to don a respirator
- Ability to wear fall protection, if necessary
Physical Demands
- Able to lift and carry 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, squat, and reach above your head
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a quality control setting at a chemical manufacturing facility
