Quality Analyst

About the role

This is an Onsite position in Richmond, VA. You must be able to work onsite from day One of the contract.

Responsibilities

• Research business and user needs and identify root causes of problems.
• Document business requirements and recommend system modifications.
• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Create, maintain, and execute test plans based on requirements.
• Identify, document, track, and help resolve software defects.
• Perform root-cause analysis when appropriate.
• Determine which test cases are suitable for automation.
• Maintain automated test scripts.
• At the QA3 level, develop and enhance automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, Java, and TypeScript.
• Work closely with business users and IT teams.
• Support multiple project assignments at QA2/QA3 levels.
• Align technology solutions with business needs and strategies at the senior level.
• Guide less-experienced Business Systems Analysts at QA3.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with HTML, XML, Java, and TypeScript, along with familiarity with React or Next.js.
• A bachelor's degree is expected, preferably in Business, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Mathematics, although approximately four years of related progressive experience may substitute for the degree.
