Qualified Mental Health Professional in Substance Use

About the role

Easterseals PORT Health’s mission is to improve the lives, health, and well-being of individuals and families dealing with substance use and mental health disorders. We are seeking a compassionate, caring, and dedicated Mental Health Qualified Professional to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary outpatient therapy and medication assisted treatment team to provide support to adults and youths in Kinston, NC.

Responsibilities

• Provide screening, evaluation, diagnostic assessments, and develop person-centered treatment goals and plans for adults and children in need of outpatient treatment.
• Treatment and after-care services for mental health and substance abusing clients.
• Stabilization and treatment services to clients.

Requirements

• A Master’s degree and mental health licensure are required.
• Full or provisional Substance Use licensure or certification: LCASA, CADC, or AP/CPSS.
• Dual licensure preferred.
• Proficiency with EHR systems or technical skills.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation for work-related travel.

Qualifications

• Education: A Master’s degree and mental health licensure are required.
• Full or provisional Substance Use licensure or certification: LCASA, CADC, or AP/CPSS.
• Dual licensure preferred.
• Proficiency with EHR systems or technically savvy.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation for work-related travel.

• Knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health and substance use treatment.

Schedule

Monday- Friday, 8am-5pm
