The Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) provides care that responds to the physical and psychological needs of members served. The QMHA provides direct and indirect services according to individual service plans and Medicaid standards.

What You Bring To The Table (Must Have)

  • A high school diploma or G.E.D. and three (3) years of experience in a psychiatric mental health setting or a BA/BS with one (1) year experience in a mental health setting
  • Eligibility to be credentialed as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) in the state of Oregon and obtain Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA-R) (registration) within 30 days of hire and must obtain Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) certification within 12 months of hire date
  • A valid and current driver’s license, and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as a driver
  • A willingness to use the company vehicle to drive clients to appointments and groups, etc.

Deschutes Recovery Center is a Secure Residential Treatment Facility (SRTF) serving 16 individuals with mental illness, ages, 18+, who are transitioning from the State Hospital or other secure facilities to a community-based program.
