Full-time, in-office position located at 895 N 900 E, American Fork, Utah, 84003.

About the Role

Incumbents direct, plan, control and coordinate one or more agency programs. Responsibilities include assessing employment and training needs, designing, developing, and implementing new programs to meet these needs; establishing program goals, determining budget requirements, setting staffing levels, and using a variety of statistical reports and analytical tools to evaluate and control program performance and quality. Incumbents may act as the State Coordinator for special federal programs and/or represent the agency on various interagency committees and task forces which determine program policy and service delivery. May supervise subordinate employees.

The mission of the Utah State Developmental Center is to serve as "a statewide resource center for people with disabilities while promoting opportunity through choice and outcome-based support." This will be accomplished by providing critical services, support, and resources for the intellectually disabled individuals that reside at our facility.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage multiple supervisory level staff members.
  • Oversee care, programmatic, vocational, medical, and comprehensive care for individuals with intellectual and/or other disabilities.
  • Serve as the interdisciplinary team leader for individuals receiving care at The Utah State Developmental Center.
  • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills while working within and supervising teams.
  • Write and implement I.P.P. and other care plans for individuals receiving care in I.C.F.I.D.
  • Develop and apply leadership skills and abilities.

Requirements

  • At least a bachelor's degree in a Human Services related field.
  • At least one year working with people with disabilities.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience.
  • Ability and experience writing professional documentation.
  • Good to exceptional skills working with and utilizing Microsoft and/or Google Suite programs including Sheets.
  • Understanding of Title 19 Federal Regulations.

Qualifications

Preferred or trainable/on-the-job qualifications:

  • 2 years supervisory experience as a manager with a direct report staff (team).
  • 2 years experience working with disabled individuals.
  • Advanced report writing skills including investigative reports.
  • Working knowledge and experience passing Title 19 audits related to ICF/IID.

Pay

$28.11 - $47.06 hourly wage.
