QHSE Support
About the role
PurgeRite, the leader in high-quality mechanical flushing services, is seeking a QHSE Coordinator to oversee and maintain our Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) programs. This role ensures compliance with industry regulations, promotes a culture of safety, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain QHSE policies and procedures in alignment with industry standards and company objectives.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ISO, and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain records of incidents, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
- Lead safety training programs for employees, including toolbox talks and refresher courses.
- Conduct risk assessments and job hazard analyses (JHAs) for various projects.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Promote a proactive safety culture through regular site visits and safety meetings.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices in waste management.
- Monitor environmental impact and recommend sustainable solutions.
- Keep updated on changes in environmental laws and integrate them into company policies.
- Support and contribute to safety training modules and compliance programs.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to employees on QHSE best practices.
- Work with leadership to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Will travel and perform onsite tasks to ensure project progression or as needed for team development.
- Office and field-based role, with regular site visits. May require travel to multiple job sites for audits and inspections.
Requirements
- MUST be comfortable traveling up to 70% of the time.
- A high school diploma/ equivalent or work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in a QHSE role, preferably in a blue-collar or mechanical services industry.
- Experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, ISO and other industry standards.
- Excellent communication and training skills.
- MUST possess a BCSP Certification. Certification in NEBOSH, OSHA 30, or similar safety programs is a plus.
