QHSE Coordinator

About the role

This unique role is split equally between Health & Safety (H&S) and Environmental duties, with approximately 2.5 days dedicated to each area each week. You'll play a key role in supporting compliance with HSE legislation, maintaining ISO management systems, coordinating audits and training activities, and helping to foster a positive safety-first culture throughout the business.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Managers in delivering key business objectives and compliance requirements.
• Conducting regular site inspections covering health & safety, environmental, fire, and equipment compliance.
• Identifying workplace risks and supporting the implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
• Completing and maintaining COSHH assessments and associated documentation.
• Maintaining accurate training, compliance, and audit records using company systems and databases.
• Delivering in-house HSE training sessions and awareness initiatives.
• Coordinating fire drills, safety inspections, and statutory compliance checks.
• Assisting in the development and delivery of annual HSE improvement plans and initiatives.
• Participating in HSE networks and forums to share best practice and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum requirement).
• ISO 14001 Internal Auditor qualification.
• Proven experience within a Health, Safety and Environmental role.
• GCSE Mathematics (Grade C / 4 or above) or equivalent.
• GCSE English (Grade C / 4 or above) or equivalent.
