QHSE Manager

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with excellent attention to detail and communication skills, the QHSE Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for all Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental activities across the site. You will play a critical role in developing people, strengthening the company culture, driving continuous improvement and ensuring the highest standards of compliance and performance. This role requires a visible leader who can influence and engage at all levels of the organisation, creating an environment where safety, quality and environmental responsibility are embedded into everyday decision-making. In addition to the company requirements regarding conduct and working ethic your role and responsibilities are as follows: Lead and continuously improve the site’s integrated Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.Develop a culture where quality, safety and environmental responsibility are embedded throughout all levels of the organisation.Lead and guide internal and external audits, ensuring effective management of corrective and preventative actions.Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation, customer requirements and company standards.Drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis, data-driven decision making and Lean Manufacturing principles.Lead accident, incident, near miss, customer complaint and non-conformance investigations and ensure robust corrective actions are implemented.Manage risk assessments, environmental aspects, contractor controls, permit-to-work systems and compliance programmes.Monitor and report QHSE performance through KPIs, identifying trends and improvement opportunities.Champion employee engagement, behavioural safety and continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing operation.Work closely with Production, Engineering and Maintenance teams to improve operational performance, reduce waste, improve quality and enhance sustainability.Represent the business during customer, regulatory and certification audits and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders.Support the achievement of operational, financial and sustainability objectives through effective QHSE leadership. You Will Have proven QHSE experience within a manufacturing role.Be honest, dependable, and accountable.Be diligent with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.Conscientious with a sharp eye for detail and a pride for delivering excellence consistently.Innovative in exploring better ways of working and using your own initiative to find solutions.Strong working Knowledge of ISO standards (ISO 9001/14001/45001)Open to embracing challenges and adapting to change when required.Data analysis and statistical aptitude.Implementation and education of problem solving tools (Root cause analysis, 5 Why’s, six sigma etc) This is an exciting time to be joining an expanding, privately owned company with an ambition and vision to succeed.
