QHSE Group Director

About the role

Join SERGI and help shape the future of QHSE across an international industrial Group. SERGI Transformer Protector designs, engineers, integrates and maintains advanced solutions that protect electrical transformers against explosions and fires. Operating in a high-technology and international environment, SERGI contributes to making energy infrastructure safer, more reliable and more resilient.

As part of our continued development, we are looking for a Group QHSE Director to define, structure and lead our Group QHSE strategy and support our next stage of growth. Reporting at Group level and working closely with senior management, you will be responsible for defining and leading the Group QHSE policy, governance, roadmap, objectives and KPIs.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and continuously improving the Group QHSE management system;
  • Driving our certification roadmap, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001;
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance and effective management of major QHSE risks;
  • Consolidating QHSE performance across our different sites and leading management reviews;
  • Supporting and challenging management on QHSE priorities, resources and improvement plans;
  • Leading the Group QHSE organization and developing strong local QHSE relays;
  • Building and promoting a shared QHSE culture across the Group;
  • Sponsoring cross-functional initiatives related to QHSE, Lean, digitalization and AI;
  • Overseeing DESP/PED and ATEX compliance, as well as relationships with external regulatory and certification bodies.

Requirements

  • At least 9 years of experience in a senior Quality or QHSE position within an international industrial environment;
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001;
  • Solid experience with audits, certifications, risk management and regulatory compliance;
  • Knowledge of French and European industrial regulations, with experience of DESP/PED and ATEX being highly valued;
  • Experience managing managers and/or QHSE teams in a multisite environment;
  • The ability to translate QHSE requirements into pragmatic and business-oriented solutions;
  • Strong leadership, communication, influencing and change-management skills;
  • Professional working proficiency in English.

A Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Quality, HSE/QHSE, Environment, Industrial Risk Management, Engineering or a related field is expected.

Pay & Schedule

This is a full-time position with occasional international travel, mainly to SERGI Group entities and key partners or operational sites. We offer a competitive compensation package based on experience and profile.
