Key Responsibilities
- Perform line inspections and quality control functions to ensure product standards for purity, composition, and quality.
- Affix to policy and procedural compliance throughout the manufacturing process.
- Conduct pre-operation line approval in all production areas.
- Periodically take weight checks to ensure proper dosing by encapsulating/tableting machines.
- Inspect in-process and finished products for defects and gather samples for testing.
- Perform additional customer-required quality control checks to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Affix to sampling and releasing incoming raw materials.
- Maintain and retain samples of raw materials and finished goods in an orderly manner.
- Perform environmental sanitation sampling.
- Maintain the Quality Control Hold Log and organize designated hold areas.
- Release products for shipping after reviewing and approving batch records and completing all testing.
- Assist in equipment IQ/OQ completion and investigations.
- Check packaging work orders against PFLs and approve work order folders for scheduling.
- Manage the QC Hold areas, including inventory management and updating the QC Hold Log.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required; prior knowledge is helpful but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Good inter-departmental communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and apply statistical process control principles.
- Detail-oriented with a commonsense understanding to carry out instructions in various forms.
- Physical ability to sit, walk, stand, reach, and lift up to 35 pounds, and move up to 250 pounds using a pallet jack or similar tools.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Work Environment
- The work environment is usually moderately noisy.
- The use of PPE is required when working in manufacturing areas.
Pay
Hourly pay of $18.50/hour.
Schedule
Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 2:45 PM - 1:15 AM.
Initial training will occur on the 1st shift for a few weeks, from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
