QC Supervisor

About the role

Ascent Aviation Services is one of the largest aviation maintenance, repair, overhaul, storage and reclamation operations in the world. We are seeking a QC Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, precision, and airworthiness of world-class aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Research technical data and perform aircraft inspections, flightline operations, and shop work in accordance with applicable maintenance manuals, FAA regulations, and Ascent Aviation policies and procedures.
• Inspect parts and materials used in the maintenance, modification, and configuration of aircraft and equipment to ensure compliance with quality standards, allowable tolerances, and manufacturer specifications.
• Record inspection data on forms, reports, and inspection tags.
• Report any irregularities to the Lead Inspector that could cause injury or compromise aircraft safety.
• Ensure that all maintenance records are completed accurately and thoroughly.
• Verify that Required Inspection Items (RIIs) are properly identified on all work cards, in accordance with customer requirements.
• Ensure that all Work-In-Progress Conformity Records are accurately documented for the assigned shift.
• Perform receiving inspections as required.
• Test the tightness of airframe connections using hand tools and inspect part fitment using flashlights and mirrors.
• Examine the assembly, installation, and adjustment of ailerons and rudders to ensure compliance with accepted standards and regulatory requirements.
• Verify the accuracy of component installations in powerplant and hydraulic systems using precision tools such as protractors, micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Sign inspection tags to approve units or record the reason for rejection.
• Ensure the complete and accurate completion of all required forms, reports, and records (e.g., FAA Form 337, FAA Form 8130-3, SDR, ect.).
• Enforce all Safety and Quality policies and procedures.
• Conduct facility audits to ensure safety and policy compliance.
• Coordinate with customer representatives as needed.
