Your Purpose

By taking on this challenging role, you will become part of our Risk Management team that is responsible for performing quality control reviews of operational processes, lending and deposit activities, and related documentation to ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, operational standards, and applicable federal and state regulations. The QC Specialist I/II supports operational quality assurance activities designed to strengthen process consistency, mitigate operational risk, and enhance the overall member experience.

What You'll Do

To succeed in this position, you must be able to satisfactorily perform common, uncommon & complex occurrences of each of the following under general supervision from your manager

  • Perform detailed quality control reviews of consumer, mortgage, commercial loan, and deposit account activities to evaluate documentation accuracy, process consistency, operational effectiveness, and adherence to applicable procedural and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze quality control findings, trends, patterns, operational errors, and documentation deficiencies to identify potential operational and compliance risks, recommend corrective actions, and support continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare and deliver quality control reporting and analysis to management, including identified risks, trends, process gaps, and recommendations intended to strengthen operational controls, improve efficiency, and support a consistent member experience.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for quality control practices, operational quality assurance activities, process effectiveness, and preventative risk mitigation efforts, separate from the Credit Union’s independent internal audit function.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with colleagues from across departments and branches to deliver optimal and efficient service to our members.
  • Uphold a standard of professionalism actively fostering positive relationships internally and externally.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the credit union’s products and services, ensuring compliance with applicable Federal and State laws, Credit Union banking regulations, and OE Federal Credit Union’s policies and procedures and current promotions.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate Will Possess

  • High School Diploma/GED AND minimum 1 year of work experience in a similar role required. Associates degree in a business-related field preferred.
  • Ability to communicate verbally, in writing, and with various levels of management and staff required.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills, with the required ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Basic proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) required.

Salary Range

$25.83 - $30.72/hour

OE Federal Credit Union offers competitive compensation. The offered salary considers experience, education, training, internal peer equity, job location and other business considerations when extending an offer. The salary outlined is based on working in Livermore, California. The salary range will adjust to the applicant's work location.
