Job Overview

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
  • Quality Management: Ensure employees operate within VPET USA INC’s policies and procedures.
  • Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for corrective action to supervisor.
  • Participate in the construction and/or revision of SOPs for the inspection function.
  • Provide support to production team when required.
  • Visually and physically inspect materials, components, subassemblies, assemblies, tools, and final product configuration.
  • Record compliance with quality standards to verify products and processes meet customer, company, and other specifications.
  • Solve inspection problems; develop methods, procedures, plans, and details.
  • Audit products and processes to verify systems.
  • Maintain necessary inspection logs and write inspection reports.
  • Communicate quality problems and work with engineering and leads to support, investigate, and resolve issues.

Minimum Requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, identify, address problems, and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft programs.
  • Must be able to use computer programs to keep track of administrative tasks such as report writing, analysis of work orders, evaluations, etc.
  • Proficient English skills to understand, read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Commitment to the success of the entire organization.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to push, pull, twist, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crawl.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motions such as reaching and grasping.
  • Must be able to use a ladder or step ladder.
  • Work environment is in a warehouse and temperatures inside vary between hot or cold based on the outside conditions.
  • This is a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.

Education/Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role or a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Familiarity with SQF 2000, HACCP, and GMP preferred.
  • Experience in the plastic bottle industry or in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
