QA Tester automotive experience required

About the role

The Auto Sales Application IT Tester leads quality assurance activities across Auto business applications and technology platforms. This position ensures software solutions meet functional, integration, performance, security, and business requirements prior to production deployment. The role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, developers, architects, project managers, and vendors to support large-scale modernization initiatives and enterprise integrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end testing across multiple projects and releases; define testing scope, strategies, plans, entry/exit criteria, and quality metrics.
• Execute SIT, Regression, UAT support, and E2E testing across business workflows, calculations, APIs, databases, and third-party integrations.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution; facilitate triage sessions and perform root-cause analysis.
• Design and implement automated testing frameworks and regression suites; integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Coordinate performance, load, stress, and security/compliance testing initiatives.
• Provide test status reports, quality metrics, risk assessments, and release readiness recommendations to leadership.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, application testing, and enterprise-scale applications within Agile/hybrid environments.
• Strong expertise in Functional, SIT, UAT, Regression, API, Database, and Performance testing.
• Core technical skills in .NET and Mainframe.
• Proficiency with Jira, ALM/Quality Center (or equivalent), SQL, and API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI).
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, written/verbal communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• QA Certifications (ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA).
• Experience with AI-assisted testing tools and cloud modernization projects.
• Background in automotive services.
