Stefanini Group is hiring for a remote QA Test Automation Engineer position. W2 candidates only.

Responsibilities

  • Code and troubleshoot Java code on a daily basis.
  • Ensure test plans align with business requirements by participating in software design and review sessions.
  • Develop configurable, maintainable, reusable, and dependable test automation components.
  • Execute test plans, record and report results, analyze test outcomes, and provide root-cause analysis for issues.
  • Prepare and acquire test data, conduct peer reviews of test work products.
  • Set up and maintain test environments, develop test case automation criteria, and prepare architecture diagrams.
  • Support manual testers with automation needs and determine which manual test cases should be converted to automation scripts, including executing manual test cases as needed.
  • Identify technical and operational problems on installed systems, products, and services.
  • Prepare for and participate in testing activities for production deployments and remediation.
  • Conduct manual testing as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

  • Must have experience with multiple automation programming languages and quality assurance testing tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or a closely related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software, operating systems, browsers, internet navigation, and software installation (e.g., SQL, Oracle, business objects, web technologies, authentication, or security technologies).
  • Knowledge of multiple software development methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative, Agile, and Behavior-Driven Development.
  • Working knowledge of test case management and execution using test management tools.
  • Experience implementing and auditing automated test methodology and QA standards.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.).
  • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Ability to perform independent research and analysis, drawing logical conclusions.
  • Works effectively in a highly matrix or virtual organization.
  • Performs most work independently with general supervision and direction; may consult with management or senior staff in decision-making.

Experience

  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • 6–10 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Intermediate-level knowledge of Quality Assurance Engineer methodologies and practices.
  • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and the importance of the QA function within it.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of directly related experience and education required; degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred.
