Description Position Title: Quality Control TechnicianShift:1st Wage Range: $23 Differential: none Status: Full Time Responsible for supporting the QA department through product control, verification procedures, organization, compliance and inspection of finished goods. PRINCIPAL ROLES And RESPONSIBILITIES Online quality checks (dates, lots, labels, nutritional information, weights).Slice count verification checks (average slices per lb.)Finished product quality checks.CCP Direct Observations and documentationMetal Detector calibrations & documentation.Operational GMP & Sanitation Observations throughout entire plant.Supervision of proper equipment cleaning and sanitizing by maintenance.Check bellies at Bacon Press forproper temperature and feel of bellyLead and document leaker checksVerifying timeliness and accuracy of production documentationCheck labels and dates of product in coolers and macros.Return product checks/releases.Verifying correct sanitation chemicals are being used & check titrations.Printing cool down charts for process control sheets. Position Requirements Ability to read, write, speak & understand English.Bilingual Spanish desired.One year of experience in QA/QC department in a manufacturing environment desired.HACCP & SQF training/certification desired.Ability to work under minimum supervision.Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities effectively.Ability to work under strict time constraints and meet deadlines in a timely & effective manner.Microsoft Office Experience required.
