QA TECHNICIAN

Essential Job Duties

• Maintain compliance with product specifications and temperature requirements.
• Ensure regulatory requirements are met for labels, including tare weights, UPC codes, legibility, establishment number, pricing, and product identification.
• Verify compliance with visual and temperature requirements for incoming ingredients.
• Monitor and record weights for stated weight products.
• Inspect package seals and monitor finished product coding and packaging.
• Monitor tri-gas mixtures on finished product.
• Perform in-process and finished product quality checks.
• Communicate issues with product out of specification to leads and supervisors.
• Record shelf life results and conduct aseptic sampling for microbiological testing.
• Conduct pre-operational sanitation inspections.
• Enforce GMPs and safety rules across the plant.
• Communicate job requirements for assigned production lines.
• Complete required daily paperwork.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to speak, read, and write English
• Strong attention to details
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in a production environment
• The ability to attend work on time with few absences
• The ability to instruct and lead effectively
• The ability to make quick and decisive decisions; good judgment and common sense required
• Good math skills
• The ability to follow instruction
• A strong work ethic and positive attitude
• The ability to adapt and be dependable
• The ability to read, understand, and follow SOPs (standard operating procedures)
• A helpful and professional attitude and appearance
• QA experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, bending, lifting, stooping, crouching, kneeling intermittently
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
