Reporting to
Quality Assurance Team Leader
Support Plant Quality, Food Safety, and Regulatory Compliance
- Perform tests to ensure quality standards are met.
- Input data into computer systems to maintain a permanent record of all finished analyses.
- Follow established procedures and make decisions based on company specifications.
- Identify differences from standard specifications and notify management when such differences are found.
- Monitor production processes to verify compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct product inspections, audits, and evaluations throughout the manufacturing process.
- Collect samples and perform quality checks using established procedures and specifications.
- Document inspection results, non-conformances, corrective actions, and quality-related activities accurately and timely.
- Work well in team settings and collaborate with multiple departments including operations, maintenance, corporate partners, and outside vendors.
- Support plant operations by providing coverage during lab technician absenteeism and vacation periods, which may require flexible shifts, overtime, or weekend work.
- Assist with quality investigations, product holds, customer complaints, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Verify that sanitation and good manufacturing practices are followed throughout the facility.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Ingredients Required for Your Success
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Experience in quality assurance, food manufacturing, laboratory testing, or a related manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Experience using computer systems for data entry, reporting, and recordkeeping.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Flexibility to support operational needs, including schedule adjustments when required.
- Commitment to food safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
