QA Tech HARVEST (Acme Plant)

About the Role

Green Bay Dressed Beef, LLC, an American Foods Group Company, has an opportunity for a QA Technician at our Acme Street plant. You will be responsible for ensuring food safety and quality compliance, conducting inspections, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rotation of tasks: temperatures, box tare weights, sampling, and grade changes.
• Review and accurately complete required paperwork: GMP checks, SSOP corrective action log, and SOP corrective action log.
• Conduct pre-op, condensation, and swab tests.
• Monitor food safety and quality procedures, report deficiencies, take corrective action, and follow up.
• Perform visual line and finished product inspections to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Gather, measure, analyze, and record inspection data using production specification reports.
• Collect samples for lab analysis.
• Interact with USDA as needed.
• Interpret test results, compare to specifications, investigate, take corrective action, and document findings.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Able to work in varied temperatures and conditions with PPE.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Effective English communication skills (speak, read, write).
• Ability to work extended hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime.
• Successfully complete training in safety, SQF, GMPs, HACCP, SOPs, and food defense.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior QA experience in a USDA inspected beef, pork, or poultry facility.
• Prior production experience.
• Degree in Agricultural Science, Biology, or Meat-related science, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on knowledge in Basic Microbiology, Basic Chemistry, Sanitation, and HACCP.
• Work history in the last 12 months.
• Spanish communication skills (speak, read, write).
