Responsibilities

• Understand and abide by all Company safety rules, regulations, and policies.
• Ensure safe and sanitary working conditions in accordance with Company standards, state & federal laws and regulations.
• Know and understand OSHA rights.
• Conduct safety training topics as required or needed.
• Attend all assigned safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions.
• Investigate accidents and near misses promptly, completing appropriate reports and taking corrective actions.
• Perform testing in a safe and timely manner to support manufacturing.
• Work unsupervised and communicate with other departments.
• Primary responsibilities include working in the Metal Lab and performing Quality Functions such as:
• Calibrate and troubleshoot test equipment.
• Chemistry evaluations using Metal Spectrometers and CS Meters.
• Retrieve and test sand.
• Microstructure Evaluations.
• Brinell Hardness Testing.
• Mechanical Property Testing.
• Use of hand measuring tools.
• Basic calibrations of measuring devices (Calipers, Mics, etc.).
• Basic computer skills for generating and sending test results/reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
