QA/QC Lab Technician | 2nd Shift | Marshall, NC

About the role

FedUp Foods is a leading manufacturer of organic functional beverages, and this position ensures our products adhere to strict FSQA standards.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production operations and equipment for compliance with specifications.
• Inspect, test, and sample materials or products for hazards, defects, and deviations from specifications.
• Analyze work-in-progress and finished product samples and report findings.
• Perform shelf-life and brite tank testing on finished products.
• Maintain and operate standard laboratory equipment.
• Participate in a daily tasting panel.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Prepare samples from various points of the production process.
• Record and interpret data using Google Docs and Drive.
• Attend and participate in department and interdepartmental meetings.
• Use and maintain laboratory equipment and chemicals.
• Follow SQF policies and demonstrate awareness of Management's Commitment to Food Safety and Quality.
• Report problems involving food quality and safety to the Quality Assurance Manager.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, chemistry, food science, or related field preferred.
• Two years of experience in a laboratory.
• Two years of experience in food production.

Pay

$25.00 per hour.

Schedule

Tuesday - Friday; 4:00pm to 2:30am. Flexibility: Schedule is subject to change to meet demands. Candidates must be open to schedule adjustments based on operational needs.
