QA - QC Inspector

About the Role

Turner Industries is seeking an experienced QA/QC inspector for new construction work in the Pasadena, TX area. The successful applicant will be responsible for inspecting, accepting, and/or rejecting work performed in compliance with applicable codes and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding and working knowledge of the company quality control program, company standards, procedures, codes, etc.
• Perform inspections and witness tests to determine acceptability of work.
• Perform audits to ensure compliance with QA/QC requirements.
• Define corrective measures for problem areas and ensure implementation.
• Maintain work performance records, inspection records, and other related items.
• Assure correctness of all documents.
• Perform additional assignments as required.

Requirements

• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• 6-10's on nights work schedule, must be available to work overtime as needed; schedule subject to change.
• Self-motivated.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in all aspects of welding.
• Hazard Communication orientation/test.
• Turner Industries Group, LLC indoctrination.
• OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87).
• Job site orientation.
• Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, nomex, etc.).

Physical Demands

• Climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level.
• Maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.
• Reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials.
• Lifting 30-50 lbs. from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead.
• Carrying objects, tools, etc.
• Standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods.

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily at industrial construction sites, with potential exposure to extreme weather conditions, noise, and chemical substances. The job site may have uneven ground levels, obstructed pathways, and work performed at low and/or high elevations.
