QA/QC Inspector

Location: Westfield, IN | Duration: 12 months | Shift: 6 AM – 2:30 PM (100% on‑site)

Summary

This position is responsible for inspecting all final assemblies within manufacturing. The inspector provides an independent, unbiased evaluation of finished devices or the work of others, documents the results in the device batch record, and ensures compliance with Abbott SH procedures and cGMP guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Inspect final assemblies using blueprints, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Analyze failures, determine solutions, and perform in‑process/final inspections and audits as required.
• Interface with engineers on new product development, inspections, and non‑conformance results.
• Perform routine assignments according to specified or standardized procedures, with work continuously reviewed.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date job documentation for cell operations and functions.
• Communicate ideas, problems, and solutions to all levels of quality management in both written and oral form.
• Maintain a positive attitude when interacting with internal and external customers, including tours.
• Follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices during all operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance inspection processes and achieve quality and profitability metrics.
• Maintain accurate records to ensure traceability of parts and address quality issues effectively.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma required.
