We are seeking a QA/QC Field Inspector - MEP/Electrical to support our growing team in Hamlet, NC. In this role, you’ll play a key part in driving project excellence, collaborating with industry leaders, and ensuring high-quality outcomes across complex initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspections of MEP electrical installations in accordance with approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and applicable project specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Document inspection results and observations accurately and in a timely manner, including photographic evidence where required.
  • Track outstanding observations and deficiencies through to resolution, following up with responsible parties to confirm corrective actions are completed.
  • Verify completeness and accuracy of inspection and quality documentation prior to Hands-to-Cool (H2C) milestones.
  • Coordinate with OFCI vendors, subcontractors, and the commissioning team to align inspection activities with the project schedule and support timely closeout of observations.
  • Support overall commissioning readiness by identifying and communicating quality-related risks to installation completeness ahead of L2 through L5 testing activities.
  • Maintain organized, auditable inspection records in the project quality/document management system.
  • Escalate unresolved or recurring quality issues to the QA/QC Manager or Campus Lead as needed.
  • Participate in project quality and commissioning coordination meetings, providing status updates on inspections and observation resolution.
  • Support root-cause review of recurring or significant quality issues and help identify corrective/preventive actions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant field experience.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience performing quality inspections on MEP electrical systems, preferably within mission-critical or data center construction environments.
  • Working knowledge of electrical installation standards, the National Electrical Code (NEC), and industry-standard inspection and testing practices.
  • Experience developing or executing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and interpreting electrical drawings, specifications, and single-line diagrams.
  • Familiarity with commissioning process levels (L1–L5) and how field quality inspections support commissioning readiness.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline, with experience using project quality or document management systems (e.g., Procore).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document findings and coordinate resolution across multiple parties.
  • Ability to work independently in the field, managing multiple concurrent inspection areas and priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification.
  • NICET certification or equivalent electrical inspection credential.
  • Prior experience supporting Hands-to-Cool (H2C) readiness or Integrated Systems Testing (IST) on large-scale critical facility projects.
  • Experience coordinating directly with OFCI vendors and subcontractors during installation and commissioning.
