Key Responsibilities
- Oversee electrical quality activities on behalf of the owner during construction, installation, testing, and turnover.
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, submittals, inspection test plans, method statements, and quality documentation.
- Monitor contractor and subcontractor work to verify compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, NEC/NFPA requirements, local codes, and owner standards.
- Perform field inspections of electrical installations, including cable tray, conduit, grounding, switchgear, transformers, panels, lighting, receptacles, cleanroom electrical infrastructure, and equipment connections.
- Support quality walkdowns, punch list development, deficiency tracking, and corrective action closure.
- Review and verify electrical testing documentation, including megger testing, continuity checks, torque reports, grounding tests, relay testing, and functional testing.
- Cookordinate with engineering, construction, commissioning, safety, and operations teams to resolve quality issues.
- Coordinate with factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests, pre-functional checks, and commissioning activities as required.
- Track nonconformance reports, quality observations, RFIs, field changes, and inspection records.
- Ensure contractors maintain complete and accurate turnover packages, including as-builts, test reports, certifications, inspection records, and commissioning documentation.
- Identify risks to electrical quality, schedule, safety, or operability and escalate issues to owner leadership.
- Support continuous improvement of project quality processes and lessons learned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience may be accepted.
- Minimum 7–10 years of electrical construction, quality, commissioning, or owner’s representative experience.
- Experience on semiconductor, data center, pharmaceutical, battery, cleanroom, or other mission-critical manufacturing projects strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, NETA, and applicable local regulations.
- Experience reviewing electrical quality documentation, inspection reports, test records, and turnover packages.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and issue-resolution skills.
- Ability to work effectively with contractors, engineers, inspectors, commissioning teams, and owner stakeholders.
