QA/QC Coordinator

About the role
The QA/QC Coordinator supports the Operations Manager by performing daily quality control responsibilities, including establishing and monitoring defined processes for project execution. This role involves inspecting and reviewing work to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory standards for construction and operations. The QC Coordinator documents and physically inspects workflow phases, collaborating with in-house and external personnel to deliver a quality product.
Responsibilities
- Provides specialized technical expertise in support of the Quality program, including inspection & testing techniques, quality training, statistical methods, audits, and quality tools for problem-solving and assessment.
- Creates inspection reports detailing work area conditions to ensure requirements are met.
- Interfaces with customers on concerns and complaints regarding OQ curriculums for in-house crews and sub-contractors.
- Applies knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution.
- Implements principles of performance evaluation and prediction methods to improve product systems safety, reliability, and maintainability.
- Generates reports of inspection findings, notifies operations and QC management of significant problems, and completes documentation for inspection or test activities.
- Develops skills and knowledge to determine conformance of production and operations to specifications.
- Assists in documentation to attest to satisfactory completion of inspection, corrective action, or test activities.
Requirements
- Minimum High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of verifiable experience in the substation construction field.
- Understanding of drawings, permits, and specifications relevant to the industry.
- Computer literate with knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- High level of Excel proficiency.

This job operates primarily in a professional office environment, routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, and scanners. The role is primarily sedentary but may require filing, lifting, bending, and carrying up to 50 pounds.
