QA Manager (Remote)

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a QA Manager (Remote) to join the team of a leader in the Hospitality & Recreation space. This role will guide a globally distributed quality assurance function and help shape how product quality is managed across release cycles. The QA Manager will partner closely with engineering and outsourcing teams to strengthen testing capacity, improve release readiness, and reduce production defects. This is a hands-on leadership position focused on building scalable QA practices, developing team capability, and supporting informed go/no-go decisions in a fast-moving environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 12 globally distributed QA engineers
• Collaborate with outsourcing partners to enhance QA capacity
• Create and implement a hiring strategy that aligns with company goals
• Establish performance standards and documentation for QA processes
• Own and assess release readiness, making go/no-go decisions
• Identify quality risks early in the release cycle for informed engineering decisions
• Drive down post-release defect rates and manage production quality

Qualifications

• 6+ years of overall QA experience
• 3+ years of experience managing QA teams, especially globally distributed teams
• Proficiency in developing team capabilities and fostering a performance culture
• Ability to manage quality incidents and drive scalable solutions
• Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Expertise in mobile QA, including manual and automated testing
• Proven track record of influencing release readiness and reducing defects
• Proficiency in using AI applications for production QA processes

Pay

Compensation: $140,000 – $160,000 annually
