Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Manager – Beverage leads all quality and food safety programs to ensure products meet regulatory standards, company requirements, and customer expectations. This role partners cross-functionally to maintain compliance, drive continuous improvement, and foster a strong culture of quality across production operations.Key Responsibilities
- Lead QA and food safety programs across beverage manufacturing operations
- Ensure compliance with FDA, HACCP, GMP, and other regulatory standards
- Oversee quality control processes (raw materials, in-process, finished goods)
- Manage internal, customer, and regulatory audits and inspections
- Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Maintain SOPs, specifications, and quality documentation
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and R&D to ensure product consistency and process optimization
- Track and analyze quality metrics; drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Lead food safety and quality training programs for employees
- Manage supplier quality and third-party testing relationships
Qualifications
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field
- 3+ years of QA experience in food/beverage manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and FDA regulations
- Experience with audits, inspections, and quality systems
- Proven leadership and problem-solving skills
- Preferred:
- SQF, BRC, or other GFSI experience
- HACCP or PCQI certification
- Beverage production experience (bottling, canning, pasteurization)
- Led Six Sigma or continuous improvement background
