QA Manager

POSITION TITLE QA Manager Position Summary In this position, you will oversee the Quality Assurance team, leading test strategy, automation, and quality processes for mobile and connected products. You will partner with engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality user experiences while driving continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle. Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality Assurance team while fostering a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. Define and execute QA strategies, processes, and testing methodologies to ensure product quality, reliability, and performance. Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and quality metrics aligned with product requirements and business objectives. Drive test automation initiatives and improve QA tooling to increase efficiency, coverage, and scalability. Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to review requirements, identify risks, and ensure testability throughout the development lifecycle. Oversee testing activities across mobile applications, backend services, APIs, and connected hardware environments. Coordinate cross-functional testing efforts with internal teams, external partners, and third-party vendors as needed. Monitor quality metrics, testing progress, and release readiness, providing regular updates and recommendations to leadership. Establish and improve QA processes, standards, and best practices to support organizational growth and product excellence. Ensure products and testing activities comply with applicable industry standards, quality requirements, and regulatory guidelines. Support planning and execution of hardware-integrated testing and validation activities to ensure consistent end-user experiences across connected systems. Qualifications 7+ years of Quality Assurance experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or management role Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and end-to-end testing methodologies Proven experience leading QA teams and overseeing testing strategies for both software and hardware products Hands-on experience with mobile application testing on Android and iOS platforms Expertise in test automation development and maintenance for mobile applications Experience developing test plans, driving quality initiatives, and improving QA processes and standard Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of communication protocols and system-level integration testing Familiarity with Agile development environments and QA best practices Experience with wireless connectivity testing and validation Professional QA certifications or equivalent quality engineering credentials Background supporting automated testing, product reliability, and system performance validation LOCATION South Bay, Silicon Valley area WORK ARRANGEMENT Hybrid SALARY USD 170,000-185,000 Base + bonus 10-15%
