QA LAB SUPERVISOR

Responsibilities

Oversee the HLA laboratory's quality assurance system supporting transplant programs.

Primary responsibility includes validation and implementation processes in collaboration with the HLA laboratory director.

Ensure regulatory compliance, staff training, and competency assessment.

Engage in research and development activities.

Assist with lab coverage for deceased donor transplant programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 3 years of laboratory training or experience in clinical laboratory, preferably histocompatibility, immunogenetics, and/or transplantation immunology
• Certification by the American College of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ACHI) as a Certified Histocompatibility Technologist (CHT) or Certified Histocompatibility Specialist (CHS); certification is highly preferred, but not required
• Experience with document control systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Leadership skills including coaching and developing staff
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to retain confidential information
• Effective communication with all organizational levels
• Project management and result delivery abilities
• Proficiency in managing HistoTrac and/or other laboratory information systems
• Knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing is highly preferred, but not required
