About the role
An industry leader is looking for a proactive QA Engineer to support major capital initiatives by managing high-spec vision and automated inspection platforms. You will oversee hardware setup, maintenance, and testing for advanced optical and mechatronic setups.
Responsibilities
- Run end-to-end testing on complex electrical, mechatronic, and embedded units.
- Conduct hardware bring-up, wiring validation, component debugging, and field diagnostics using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and fiber/optical tools.
- Design, document, and standardize organizational test protocols, workflows, and process maps.
- Analyze field metrics to drive root-cause failure analysis across hardware, power, and code.
- Collaborate with Systems Engineering and DevOps to deploy fixes, write automation scripts, and shift manual QA toward automated testing.
Requirements
- 5+ years in electrical, mechatronics, or robotics testing/systems engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in EE, Mechatronics, Robotics, or Systems Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Strong grasp of circuits, sensor tech, power distribution, and signal integrity/EMI.
- Hands-on proficiency with diagnostic tools and scripting in C++ and/or Python.
- Six Sigma Black Belt or formal Lean/Continuous Improvement training.
- US Work Authorization required (no sponsorship available).
Qualifications
- Preferred: Military background, dual CE/EE degree, automated testing/DevSecOps pipeline experience, or portal inspection system exposure.
Schedule & Location
- 12-month hybrid contract based in Atlanta.
- Requires 20–25% travel across the Eastern US (all travel expenses fully covered).
