Systems Quality Engineer (Travel Required)

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)

Schedule: Contract (12 Months, High Potential for Extension) | Travel: 20–25% (Eastern US, All Expenses Covered)

About the role

We are seeking an analytical Systems Quality Engineer to evaluate, validate, and optimize advanced transport technology integrating electrical, mechanical, controls, software, and AI systems. This role defines operational standards, identifies performance gaps, and drives data-backed quality, efficiency, and reliability improvements.

Responsibilities

• Execute test plans, cases, and acceptance criteria for complex electromechanical automation.
• Conduct functional, integration, failure, and regression testing across software, hardware, sensors, and AI components.
• Diagnose electrical/electromechanical issues using schematics and structured root-cause methods (5 Whys, FMEA, DMAIC).
• Analyze operational data to eliminate recurring failures and enhance safety, throughput, and labor utilization.
• Partner across cross-functional engineering, operations, and software teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years in QA, systems engineering, continuous improvement, or industrial automation.
• Six Sigma Black Belt or formal Lean/Continuous Improvement training.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CS, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on diagnostic experience using oscilloscopes, meters, and signal generators.
• Strong schematic literacy and US work authorization.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to PLCs, robotics, machine vision, or C++/Python/SQL data analysis.
• Military experience or Dual Electrical/Computer Engineering background.
