Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer with 1–5 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Selenium, SQL, functional testing, automation testing, and defect management. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA professionals to ensure high-quality, reliable software releases.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases.
- Build and maintain automated testing scripts using Selenium.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Identify, document, track, and verify software defects.
- Write and execute SQL queries to validate backend data.
- Analyze test results and provide clear defect reports.
- Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning.
- Maintain test documentation, test plans, and test reports.
- Support continuous improvement of QA processes and automation frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- 1–5 years of experience in software QA/testing.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver.
- Good knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Experience creating and executing test cases.
- Knowledge of defect tracking tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Java, Python, or another programming language.
- Knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and automated testing pipelines.
- Familiarity with Git and version-control systems.
- Experience developing or maintaining automation frameworks.
Compensation & Location
- Salary Range: $70K–$140K annually, depending on experience, skills, location, and qualifications.
- Primary Locations: Dallas, Austin, Atlanta, and Chicago.
