About the role

Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring seamless implementation of engineering changes, supplier changes and process improvements in current production. The role focuses on risk assessment, validation and compliance with internal quality standards and customer requirements while minimizing production disruptions.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality aspects of engineering changes and supplier changes by following site and global standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing and Supply Chain) to assess and validate quality changes before implementation by monitoring quality metrics and performing validation testing.
• Ensure all quality documentation (Control plans, FMEA, WI, etc.) is updated accordingly following both internal standards and external customer requirements including PPAP.
• Monitor quality KPIs of both internal and customer metrics by reporting to the Quality Manager and organization.
• Lead advanced structured problem-solving using 8-Step and 8D methodology to drive down priority defects.
• Support quality spill containment activities and disposition of both non-conforming and unapproved material to meet internal and customer requirements.
• Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, AIAG Core Tools, and internal Quality Management System.
• Respond to customer concerns related to quality following 8D methodology.
• Support internal/external customer meetings and visits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience.
• Preferred 3-5 years of experience in Quality Engineering or Change Management in manufacturing.

Skills

• Strong understanding of core tools (PPAP, APQP, MSA, and SPC).
• Strong understanding of Quality Systems.
• Proficiency with reading part drawings.
