About the Role
As a QA Engineer, you will support the development, implementation, and execution of quality control programs and procedures. This role involves translating customer specifications and industry standards into product/process criteria, creating control plans to meet those requirements, and addressing day-to-day production quality issues within the manufacturing plant, at customer sites, and at supplier facilities.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with production to plan and execute inbound and production checks.
- Manage relations with customers or third-party inspectors.
- Participate in external supplier quality testing and audits.
- Engage in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) events.
- Monitor product portfolio KPIs and drive effective root cause corrective actions to address gaps against agreed targets.
- Manage customer witness inspections.
- Maintain and analyze data to provide insights or identify problems for management and stakeholders regarding process or product quality.
- Create awareness in leadership about discovered opportunities and how to realize them.
- Collaborate with internal departments to clarify or resolve technical issues related to QC activities.
- Provide all required documents per QAP to customers after coordinating with internal departments and resolving documentation queries.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- BS or BA Degree in a relevant field and/or 0-2 years of relevant experience.
Skills
- Experience in engineering and utilization of Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
- Experience in a quality control department.
- Understanding of product/process flow.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
