QA Eng Technician II
About the Role
Develops and implements methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection to ensure that the products are free of flaws and function as designed. Designs and installs sophisticated testing equipment and performs product testing and analysis to maintain quality levels and minimize defects and failure rates. Analyzes reports and defective products to determine trends and recommend corrective actions. Collaborates with supplier representatives on quality problems, ensures that effective corrective actions are implemented and contributes to supplier quality improvement programs.

Requires basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process. Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines. Works with close supervision. Performs manual tasks according to established procedures.
Essential Functions
- Verify employees are following standards set by the company, industry regulators, and government agencies.
- Inspect products and services during all stages of production.
- Write reports to share observations about compliance and recommend changing the systems and processes as necessary.
- Calibrate quality control measures to make sure they function properly.
- Identify ways to improve existing processes and systems to improve quality and consistency.
- Support employees understanding of regulations, follow procedures, and work within systems.
Required Qualifications
- Vocational/Technical Training Degree and 1-2 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Engineering or equivalent training and experience.

Physical Requirements
- Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
- May need to stand for long periods of time.
- Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
- May be requested to work a different shift.
- Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.
