QA Automation Engineer (Playwright / TypeScript) - Onsite

About the role

This role is part of Cognizant’s IoT Practice, which focuses on designing and engineering IoT-enabled products that merge industry needs with human drivers. The Senior QA Automation Engineer (SDET) will play a crucial role in ensuring software quality through robust automation frameworks and continuous testing.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated test frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools.
• Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, and API tests.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and ensure product quality.
• Analyze defects, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• 3+ years of QA or software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and API testing.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, C#, Java, or Python.
• Experience with Git, Jira, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD tools.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles and automation best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with Playwright and TypeScript.
• Mobile automation using Appium.
• Knowledge of Azure, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and performance testing tools.
• Experience testing microservices and cloud-native applications.
