Overview
Kemin is seeking a detail-oriented QA Associate to join their team in Sarcoxie, Missouri. This role supports quality management system activities, reviews documentation, participates in audits, coordinates quality processes, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Review batch records and bring variances forward, as applicable.
- Follow all procedures and SOPs/forms and assist with updates.
- Maintain proper quality documentation.
- Support Change Management process as necessary.
- Participate in internal audits, as necessary.
- Facilitate GMP audits, as applicable.
- Trained on external audit process and support, as necessary.
- Coordinate Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) activities, as applicable.
- May collect samples, prepare shipments and inspect raw materials and finished goods.
- May perform raw material, finished goods, and packaging release, with supervision, as applicable.
- Daily data entry as applicable.
- Assist with nonconformities, as applicable.
- Follows and maintains an environment of food and/or feed safety in compliance with rules and regulations, as applicable.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma with 5 years of related experience, or Associates Degree with 2 years of related experience or Bachelor's Degree (4 year degree) with no experience.
- Previous manufacturing, warehouse, inventory, inspection, internal and external auditing, GMP, or other related experience preferred.
- Must have and maintain an insurable driving record.
- Must have reliable transportation and flexibility to work both the Verona and Sarcoxie sites as needed.
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently and interact well with others in a team environment.
- Must be able to use computer systems, MS Office, M3 LIMs, etc.
- Must have attention to detail with good written, oral communication and math skills.
- Ability to operate, troubleshoot, perform maintenance, instruct and perform method validation on lab equipment.
