About the role
This role focuses on validating quality across active development initiatives and live market solutions for mobile and connected services tied to automotive brands.
Responsibilities
- Execute functional and quality testing for connected digital products and mobile applications associated with vehicle services across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Assess software behavior on both iOS and Android platforms to confirm performance, usability, and reliability expectations are met.
- Work closely with development, product, and regional stakeholders to identify issues, document findings, and support timely resolution of defects.
- Create, maintain, and run test cases that align with both Agile/Scrum and traditional project delivery approaches.
- Perform API and service validation using testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI to verify system integrations and data flow.
- Analyze application and backend data using database queries to investigate defects, confirm results, and support root cause review.
- Track bugs, testing progress, and project updates using Jira, Confluence, and related defect management tools.
- Contribute to quality activities within CI/CD workflows and support testing needs that may include limited travel and occasional overtime.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Working knowledge of software testing practices and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience testing mobile applications on iOS and Android devices.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a detail-oriented and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to perform data and system analysis, including the use of SQL or similar database query tools.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, ideally across multiple regions.
- Exposure to automotive, connected vehicle, embedded software, or consumer electronics environments is preferred.
