QA Analyst III
Location: Menlo Park, California (Hybrid – three days onsite per week; specific days subject to change). Local candidates only. Duration: 6+ months contract.
About the role
As a QA Analyst III, you will play a critical role in ensuring product quality by executing and improving test processes, collaborating with engineering and QA leads, and supporting the delivery of high-quality features. This role is ideal for individuals who can operate independently, contribute to test strategy, and take ownership of execution within defined scopes.
Responsibilities
- Execute manual and automated test cases for new and existing features.
- Reproduce, document, and triage bugs; work closely with engineering to drive resolution.
- Write and maintain clear, comprehensive test cases and test plans.
- Support QA leads in driving test strategy and test plan creation.
- Create and maintain dashboards to track quality metrics and test progress.
- Conduct product audits with QA leads’ guidance to analyze and improve QA test coverage.
- Conduct bug audits with QA leads’ guidance to identify product areas needing improvement.
- Provide release readiness support for medium and small-sized features.
- Lead test execution for small to medium-sized projects or features.
- Attend status meetings and represent QA in the absence of QA leads.
- Work onsite as needed to collaborate directly with engineering and QA teams, ensuring product rigor.
- Support stealth projects requiring a higher level of diligence in execution.
- Run and lead innovative testing techniques such as benchmarking testing and battery testing.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance or a related field.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience writing and executing test cases and test plans, both manual and automated.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with dashboarding tools and quality metrics is a plus.
- Comfortable working onsite and engaging directly with cross-functional teams.
- Expertise with Python, JavaScript, SQL, or similar programming languages.

Pay
Pay range: $60 – $65 per hour. The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role; the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
