Python Developer

Piper Companies is seeking a Python Developer to join a growing technology organization in the software and technology industry. This is a long-term, open-ended contract opportunity requiring on-site presence in Durham, NC every Thursday.

About the role

The Python Developer will develop, maintain, and enhance software applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain software applications using Python.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement scalable software solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
• Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
• Assist with automation and infrastructure-related initiatives as needed.
• Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing across teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science required. Candidates with degrees in Computer Engineering or Mathematics will be considered based on relevant technical skills.
• Strong Python programming experience.
• 0-2 years of professional software development experience.
