About the role
We have an immediate opening for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Solar and Energy Storage Remote Operator & Data Analyst to support the monitoring, analysis, and optimization of solar and energy storage systems performance.
Responsibilities
- Monitor real-time data from Solar and Energy Storage sites to identify anomalies, trends, and performance deviations.
- Analyze system performance metrics to ensure optimal efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Handle complex and critical issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with technical teams to diagnose system issues and propose corrective actions.
- Remotely diagnose, troubleshoot, and reset equipment.
- Utilize data visualization tools and software to present insights effectively to management and engineering teams.
- Support predictive analytics models for performance forecasting and preventative maintenance planning.
- Maintain and improve data integrity, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of all analytical findings.
- Investigate historical trends to optimize system configurations and improve future deployments.
Requirements
- Electrical engineering degree or electrical license with at least two years of solar operations and maintenance experience.
- Experience with machine learning applications for predictive maintenance in PV and BESS systems.
- Comfortable working independently, ensuring seamless handover to the next working shift.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, SQL, Excel, and visualization platforms (Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with SCADA systems, monitoring platforms, and renewable energy asset management software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for identifying inefficiencies and optimization opportunities.
- Ability to interpret large datasets and translate findings into actionable insights for technical teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex technical data concisely.
- Knowledge of grid-scale energy storage operations, market dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.
- Certifications in energy analytics, data science, or renewable energy technologies.
Pay
The anticipated hourly range for this role is $30.77 - $44.47 per hour. Actual pay will depend on factors such as internal equity, skills, experience, education, certifications, and location.
