About the role
CAMS Renewable Services LLC is seeking an experienced O&M Technician to manage and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) sites. The position involves preventative and corrective maintenance, electrical repairs, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Manage preventative and corrective maintenance of PV and BESS systems and components.
- Utilize the CAMS work order system for all maintenance activities.
- Replace/install hardware, inverters, monitoring equipment, and other components.
- Perform electrical testing and prepare reports as required.
- Support preventative and corrective maintenance as directed by supervisor.
- Attend and complete training sessions on equipment provided by manufacturers.
- Carry out any other tasks delegated by the company.
- Conduct equipment commissioning based on maintenance needs.
- Operate in remote locations and perform maintenance in various weather conditions.
- Respond to emergencies and provide on-call support.
Requirements
- Technical and electrical skills, including reading and understanding schematics and manuals.
- Minimum of three years of experience in PV and BESS systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Preferred NFPA 70e, Substation Level I & II, and First Aid/CPR certifications.
- Ability to drive in adverse weather conditions and perform physical tasks.
- Licensed Master Electrician with a valid Texas Electricians License.
- Valid certificates from PV, BSS, and PCS manufacturers.
- Experience with remote monitoring systems.

- Proactive approach to safety and adherence to EHS and QEW programs.
- Flexible scheduling to accommodate weekends and on-call support.
- Ability to lift 30 pounds and work in various terrains.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
