ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop & maintain gateway documents to ensure timely and successful launch.
- Select suppliers & develop trial schedule & TPR’s to meet required timing.
- Initiate, review and track PCR’s until implemented.
- Resolve supplier issues for SQA.
- Identify parts for localization & potential suppliers.
- Maintain awareness and understand environmental policies, management system, and objectives and targets.
- Perform tasks in accordance with EMS procedures and practices to minimize environmental impact.
- New Vendor Setup/Enter Requisitions.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication & organization skills.
- Prioritize workload & assignments.
- Detail oriented.
- Knowledge of TPS.
- Previous Supplier experience a plus.
- Experience in JIT automotive manufacturing environment.
- Logistics background desired.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Associate Degree preferred.
Skills
- Computer proficiency with MS Office products, particularly Excel/Outlook.
- JDE Edwards experience a plus.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Ability to express numbers as a decimal, convert numbers into percentages and from percentages to whole numbers, express numbers as a fraction, perform basic math operations using positive and negative numbers and as ratios or averages.
Reasoning Abilities
- Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Demands
- Regularly talk or hear.
- Frequently sit; stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Office setting.
- Moderate noise level.
Position Type/Expected Work Hours
- This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
